David Costello is one of the top cutting horse trainers in the world. The native-born Australian opened up his training stable, Outback Training Stables in Paso Robles in 1982. Since that time, David’s list of wins began to grow year after year. David has won the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association [PCCHA] Open Champion three times; PCCHA Open Reserve Champion three times; PCCHA Futurity Co-Champion; NCHA Open Show Finalist; NCHA Open World reserve Champion as well as training two horses that won the year’s honors.

In 2010 the National Cutting Horse Association [NCHA] Rider’s Hall of Fame added one more rider to its ranks by inducting David. The NCHA Rider’s Hall of Fame is an elite selection of cutting horse trainers and riders whose cumulative earnings have reached $1 million.
